High Schools from all over Las Vegas will compete in teams of 3 for Savory and Dessert on March 30, 2019.
The competition is held after the students conduct 5 workshops that dive deep into the science behind why eating healthy is important with plant-based being the theme. The workshop contains a workbook that has been contributed by series of certified wellness authors, who's work has been researched before being placed into the workbook. The 5 workshops are Introduction to Healthy Cooking, Fats and Cholesterol, Sodium, Sugar and Diabetes, Portion Control and how to prepare for the competition. We are excited to have these schools participate as they gear up to go for the GOLD!
